YEARLY ROUND REGISTRATIONS!
Mi Escuelita is open from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. from Monday to Friday on a school calendar year. Session 1 (8:30 am to 11:30 am), Full day (8:30am – 3:00pm). Children must be picked up at the designated time for which they are enrolled. Any time a child is to be picked up by a different person, you must notify the teacher(s) in advance. Also, the individual who comes to pick up the child must have an I.D. ready to show the teacher.
Mi Escuelita preschool is available to any child between 2 and 6 years old. Do not need to be potty trained.
If you wish to register a child, you must submit a completed application and a $50.00 nonrefundable registration fee during the school year.
An emergency medical release, copies of immunization records, and any other forms provided to you by Mi Escuelita must be on file before a child can start attending.
Tuition and fees policies
Tuition will be paid monthly, the first 5 days of the month. Tuition is the same throughout the calendar year, including months with holidays or school closings due to bad weather.
Your child’s first month’s tuition is due in full on the first day of attendance at Mi Escuelita.
Checks should be made payable to Mi Escuelita Inc. and clearly marked with the preschooler’s name. A $25 fee will be charged for returned checks.
Families are responsible for the full tuition payment every month regardless of absences due to family vacation, illness or other reasons. If a child withdraws without notice before the end of the month, there will be no tuition reimbursements.
Other fees Late pick up fee: There will be a $5.00 late fee for the first ten minutes and after that, we will charge $1.00 per minute. Late payment fee: If you pay after the 5th day of the month there will be a $35.00 late fee payment. Termination policy: If for any reason your child will be leaving school, please let us know 2 weeks in advance. No fees will be returned if your child leaves in the middle of the month. We reserve the right to terminate care at any time if a child could jeopardize others under our care.
What do I need to bring?
Each child should bring a change of clothes that will remain in the school to be used in case of accidents or spills. The clothes should be in a plastic Ziploc bag identified with the child’s name. Everyday children must bring their books and materials provided by Mi Escuelita for the daily work. If the child is not potty trained the parent is responsible for bringing disposable diapers and wipes (NO CLOTH DIAPERS, PLEASE). Full time kids must bring a blanket and pillow for rest time.
Mid day snack policy.
You must provide a snack (half days) and lunch (full days) for your child.
Transportation and field trips:
Transportation is not provided at any time, parents are responsible to provide transportation to and from child care.
When field trips are planned, transportation must be provided by a parent. If a child is unable to attend, a child care provided will stay and will provide activities on site.
For the health of all the children and staff the guidelines listed below need to be followed closely: If a child develops a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea during the day, parents will be notified to pick up their child immediately. Children should remain at home at least 24 hours if their symptoms include, but are not limited, to fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. Children should come back to Mi Escuelita when they are fully capable of participating in all the activities. If your child has a contagious desease you must notify the school staff as soon as possible.
If for any emergency reason the providers can not open the school, parents will be notified by phone or text.
There will always be a substitute teacher to guarantee the ratio of 6:1.
We follow the policies of the Carmel Clay Schools system (CCS) . If schools are delayed due to inclement weather the AM session will start at 9:30 am and will end at 11:30 am. Afternnon session will start at 12:00pm. If Carmel Clay Schools close due to inclement weather Mi Escuelita will be closed as well. Parents should watch local news for information on school closings during the winter.
